Appreciating the little things in life can have a positive impact on health, according to a recent study. Researchers found that individuals who experience gratitude have a lower risk of dying. The study examined data from nearly 50,000 women and discovered that those with higher levels of gratitude had a 9% lower risk of death from various causes. Gratitude was also linked to younger age, better health, and participation in social or religious groups. Practicing gratitude through activities such as keeping a journal or writing letters can promote well-being.
